The Team

The Tatton Community Association team is made up of 10 Trustees, plus Committee Members and other volunteers, of a wide range of ages and backgrounds, from teenage to nearly 80 years of age.

We work very closely with Chorley Council, and manage the Community Centre on their behalf, as a registered charity.

Over the years we have raised more than £200,000 of external funding to develop facilities on the Recreation Ground at Tatton, and were able to provide the Skate Park and Safer Cycling circuit, as well as other community facilities. We were really proud to play a part in the successful bid for Green Flag status for the Rec - this was a real partnership achievement!

Our most recent success is an Awards for All grant to replace the chairs, blinds and lighting throughout the Centre, and securely install a digital-ready TV to replace our old analogue set! (August 2011)

We have also recently refurbished and upgraded our Community Classroom and IT suite.

Our main aim is to maintain and develop the Centre for local people to use - we have all gained massively from our involvement over the years and want to make sure that other families in the area have a great community facility to enjoy throughout their lives, from pre-school through to retirement and beyond.
